The Spirit Catcher was a familiar implement in the traditional culture of the Northwest Coast. It was often a primary tool in the hands of the Shaman or Healer. In adopting the Spirit Catcher as its emblem, PAR-BC invokes the great shamanistic tradition, which most assuredly began the history of healing in British Columbia.
